Dulce - Thailand

$22.00

Same, same but different.

This new Dulce is not the typical Dulce you’ve known us for. This one is from Thaïland. Yes, you read that correctly. The Southeast Asia country is well renowned for its delicious green, red, and yellow curry, Tom Yum soup, and Pad Thai.

We weren’t convinced — at first — that a Thaï coffee farm could produce specialty-grade arabica, we clearly were in the unknown. Raymond, an expat close to the local community, who runs an organic tea plantation in the Chiang Rai mountain region, told us about his neighbour’s coffee production being spectacular. Samples were asked for and received, and our minds were blown (shook Ulysse would say - read shocked).

This Thaï sample had nothing to do with other Asian coffee we tasted before. It has complexity, it has cleanliness, it has caramel, it has graham cracker, it has green apple acidity, it has a touch of floral notes, it has Glosette-like sugary texture… It has everything our Dulce café should have. We imported the lot. Same name, same awesomeness, but different - Thaï different.

Since we’ve imported this lot, Northern Thailand has been hit by Typhoon Yagi. With it came massive rain storms and the largest floods in 80 years. 1$ of each bag sold will be sent directly to Yongyut Saeyand to help the communities of Northern Thailand.
